The Central Interior Advisory Council handles the planning and implementation of local CPHR BC & Yukon activities and is made up of members representing a broad range of HR experience levels and areas of practice.

Your Central Interior Advisory Council for 2021:


Chair & Post-Secondary – Jamie Noakes

Jamie is Co-op Coordinator at Thompson Rivers University. This is her third year on the council.

Vice Chair, Mentoring & Networking – Bill Bouthot, CPHR

Bill owns and operates BGB HR Consulting. This is his fourth year on the council.

Administration & Communications – Shirley Nguyen

Shirley is on the council for the second year in 2021. She is HR Manager at Axis Family Resources.

Awards – Laura Balyk, CPHR

Laura is Senior Human Resources Associate at the ASK Wellness Society. She joins the council for the first time this year.

Membership & Communications – Connie Georget, CPHR

Connie has over 25 years experience in human resources. Having been on the advisory council previously, she is currently in her third year of her current term in the Central Interior.

Networking  – Kayla Kapelari, CPHR

Kayla is Human Resources Coordinator at Copper Mountain Mine and is in her fourth year on the council.

Post Secondary – Merissa Mattson, CPHR

Merissa is a Search Partner/ Recruiter with DefineHR. 2021 is her second year on the council.

Roundtables/PD – Christine Carlson, CPHR

Christine is the Human Resources Manager at the City of Merritt and joins the council for the first time this year.

Roundtables/PD – Chelsea Tuyttens, CPHR Candidate

Chelsea is a Recruiter – Talent Acquisition at the British Columbia Lotteries Corporation and is in her first year on the council.
